Description
The ULTRAMAT 23 gas analyzer allows the continuous and simultaneous measurement of up to 4 gas components. The instrument can be equipped with the following sensors:
– IR sensor for infrared active gases
– UV sensor for UV active gases
– H2S sensor (electrochemical)
– O2 sensor (electrochemical)
– O2 sensor (paramagnetic)
– The ULTRAMAT 23 gas analyzer for use in biogas plants allows the continuous measurement of 4 gas components: 2 infrared active gases (CO2 and CH4) as well as O2 and H2S by means of electrochemical measuring cells.
– The ULTRAMAT 23 gas analyzer with paramagnetic oxygen cell allows the continuous measurement of 4 gas components: 3 infrared active gases as well as O2 (“Hantel” measuring cell).
– The ULTRAMAT 23 gas analyzer with UV photometer allows the measurement of one infrared active gas, UV active gases (SO2, NO2) as well as O2 with electrochemical sensors.
Advantages:
– AUTOCAL with ambient air (depending on the component to be measured)
– High cost effectiveness as no standard gas is required
– High selectivity due to multi-layer sensors, e.g. low sensitivity to water vapor
– Cuvettes can be cleaned on site if necessary
– Cost reduction due to longer service life in case of heavy soiling
– Menu-driven operation in plain language
– Manual-free operation, safe operation
– Maintenance information and fault log
– Preventive maintenance; support for service and maintenance personnel, reduced costs
– Coded operating level for protection against unauthorised access
– Increased security
– Open interface architecture (RS 485, RS 232, PROFIBUS, SIPROM GA)
– Simplified process integration; remote control and monitoring
Particularly useful for use in biogas plants
– Continuous measurement of all four critical components, including H2S
– High durability of the H2S sensor, even with high concentrations; no dilution or rinsing required
– Flammable gases such as those found in biogas plants (e.g. 70 % CH4) can be introduced and measured (TÜV certificate)
High selectivity due to multi-layer detectors
The multi-layer detectors used guarantee high selectivity and reduced water vapor interference. The measuring cuvettes used are robust and resistant and can be cleaned easily in case of disturbances induced by faults in the sample preparation and subsequent contamination. The electrochemical oxygen sensor is used to determine the O2 reference variable, and the hydrogen sulphide sensor extends the application range of the ULTRAMAT 23 to applications in biogas plants. The additional use of electrochemical sensors together with NDIR technology in a single basic device saves costs in sample preparation and spare parts inventory.
